Digital Currency and Tax Consultant – We are looking for a highly motivated, staff digital currency consultant to join a full-service firm located in Toronto. You will have the opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and take the next step in your career by working with clients from various industries, but mainly clients in the Crypto and digital currency sector. You will be working directly with clients and supporting them through your knowledge and expertise. Primary Location – Toronto
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follow up with client leads and prospects.
• Determine scope and quote prospects
• Perform adjusting entries, month end accruals, reporting and analysis as required.
• Research tax and accounting regulations
• Engage in client correspondence via email and telephone.
• Adapting the latest accounting software
• Draft memos and summary reports
• Assist firm partners in their day-to-day engagements
• T1- Personal Tax filing
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience with bookkeeping and/or taxation
• Mandatory North American University degree or College equivalent degree in accounting or finance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of Digital and Crypto currency industry is a great asset.
• Experience tax filings is an asset
• Sufficient understanding of the CRA Tax Code
• Familiar with accounting and income tax software
• Detail oriented, with great organizational skills
